Kickboxing for Kids in Tbilisi — Children's Kickboxing Ages 8-16 | Gymnasia Sports Academy

Kickboxing for Kids at Gymnasia (Ages 8-16)

Kickboxing is where speed meets power, where discipline meets excitement. At Gymnasia in Tbilisi, children and teens ages 8-16 discover one of the most dynamic martial arts on the planet — combining punches, kicks, knee strikes, and footwork into a high-energy training system that builds incredible fitness, coordination, and confidence.

Why Kickboxing for Your Child?

  • Full-body fitness: Kickboxing is one of the most effective workouts for young people — developing cardiovascular endurance, speed, flexibility, and explosive power simultaneously
  • Coordination & agility: Combining hands and feet requires exceptional body coordination that transfers to every other sport
  • Self-defense skills: Your child learns practical striking and defensive techniques that build real-world confidence
  • Mental focus: Combinations, timing, and distance management demand complete concentration — sharpening the mind as much as the body
  • Stress relief & energy channel: Hitting pads and bags is an incredible outlet for the stress and energy that come with growing up

Parents Ask Us

Is kickboxing safe for my child?

Yes. Kids kickboxing at Gymnasia focuses on technique, pad work, and conditioning — not fighting. Younger students work on pads and bags, not on each other. Light sparring is only for experienced students with full protective equipment under close coach supervision.

What age can my child start kickboxing?

Our program starts from age 8. For younger children, we recommend Karate (from age 4) or Boxing (from age 6) as a stepping stone to kickboxing.

Does my child need previous experience?

No experience needed. Many students start with no martial arts background. Our coaches teach all fundamentals from scratch.

What should my child wear/bring?

Comfortable sportswear and athletic shoes. Hand wraps, boxing gloves, and shin guards are recommended for regular training — available at krivi.ge. We provide equipment for trial classes.

How will kickboxing help with school performance?

Kickboxing develops focus, self-discipline, and the ability to perform under pressure. The mental skills required for mastering combinations and timing directly transfer to better concentration in academic settings.

Will my child get hurt?

The majority of kickboxing training involves pad work, bag work, shadow boxing, and conditioning — no contact with partners. Sparring is only for experienced students with full safety equipment. Our coaches maintain a safe environment.

Can I watch the class?

Yes. We have a parent viewing area where you can observe every session.

Can my child try multiple sports?

Absolutely. Kickboxing pairs excellently with Boxing for deepened hand skills, with Karate for traditional martial arts foundation, or with BJJ/Judo for complete striking + grappling education.
