Full Body Strength Classes in Tbilisi — Build Real Power at Gymnasia

Full Body Strength at Gymnasia

Strength is the foundation of everything. At Gymnasia in Tbilisi, Full Body Strength is the class for people who want to get genuinely, measurably stronger. Built around compound barbell and dumbbell movements — squats, deadlifts, presses, rows, and lunges — this program develops muscle, bone density, and functional power that transforms how you move through life. No gimmicks, no dance-fitness hybrids. Just intelligent progressive resistance training coached by people who understand how to build strength safely and effectively.

Why Full Body Strength at Gymnasia?

  • Compound Movement Focus: Every session is built around the big lifts that produce the biggest results. Squats, deadlifts, bench press, overhead press, and rows form the backbone of the program because they recruit the most muscle, stimulate the most growth, and build the most functional strength.

  • Progressive Overload System: Strength is built by gradually increasing the demand on your body. Our program tracks your progress and systematically advances weights, volume, and complexity so you never plateau and always move forward.

  • Coached Technique on Every Lift: Lifting heavy things safely requires good technique. Our coaches teach and refine your form on every major lift, ensuring you build strength without injury. This is especially valuable for people who have been self-taught or trained without guidance.

  • Premium Strength Equipment: Gymnasia's Lisi facility is equipped with Olympic barbells, calibrated plates, adjustable dumbbells up to 50kg, squat racks, bench press stations, cable machines, and dedicated lifting platforms. This is a serious strength training environment.

What to Expect

Each Full Body Strength class runs approximately 60 minutes and follows a structured strength protocol: warm-up and movement preparation, primary compound lift with coached sets and progressive loading, secondary and accessory exercises for balanced development, and a cool-down with mobility work. Sessions alternate between upper body emphasis, lower body emphasis, and full-body integration days. Intensity is moderate to high — you will handle challenging weights with proper rest intervals. Wear flat-soled training shoes (not cushioned running shoes), athletic clothing, and bring a water bottle and towel.

Full Body Strength is ideal for anyone who wants to get stronger, build muscle, improve bone density, enhance athletic performance, or simply develop the physical capability and confidence that comes with real strength.

Gymnasia is the best and the only place in Tbilisi to train OCR/Ninja. You can buy accessories needed for the sport. Prices are decent too.

Frequently Asked Questions

Is Full Body Strength suitable for beginners?

Yes. In fact, beginners make the fastest strength gains because their bodies respond rapidly to new stimulus. Our coaches teach proper lifting technique from the very first session and progress you safely. Starting with an empty barbell is completely normal and expected.

What should I wear?

Flat-soled shoes (cross-trainers, Chuck Taylors, or lifting shoes — not thick running shoes), comfortable athletic clothing, and bring a water bottle and towel. If you have a lifting belt, feel free to bring it, but it is not required.

How often should I do Full Body Strength?

Two to four times per week, depending on your recovery capacity and goals. Three sessions per week is the sweet spot for most people — enough frequency to drive adaptation, with adequate rest between sessions.

Will strength training make me bulky?

Building significant muscle mass requires specific high-volume programming and surplus nutrition over extended periods. Full Body Strength builds lean, functional muscle and strength. You will look more athletic and defined, not bulky — unless that is specifically your goal.

What are the health benefits of strength training?

Regular resistance training increases muscle mass and strength, improves bone density (critical for long-term health), boosts metabolic rate, enhances joint stability, improves insulin sensitivity, reduces risk of chronic disease, supports mental health, and improves functional capacity as you age. It is arguably the single most important form of exercise for long-term health.

Can I combine Full Body Strength with other classes at Gymnasia?

Absolutely. Full Body Strength provides the foundation that elevates every other discipline. Combine it with CrossFit for varied conditioning, with combat sports for increased hitting power and grappling strength, with yoga or Pilates for improved mobility, or with 360FIT for complete athletic development.

Do I need to be able to lift heavy to join?

No. Everyone starts somewhere. Our program scales to your current strength level and builds from there. Whether you are pressing an empty bar or 100kg, the coaching quality and programming precision are the same.

Is strength training safe for older adults?

Resistance training is not just safe for older adults — it is one of the most recommended forms of exercise for maintaining independence, preventing falls, preserving bone density, and improving quality of life. Our coaches adapt every exercise to individual needs and limitations.
