Combat Fitness Classes in Tbilisi — Fight-Ready Conditioning at Gymnasia

Combat Fitness at Gymnasia

Combat Fitness takes the explosive training methods of professional fighters and packages them into the most exhilarating group fitness class in Tbilisi. At Gymnasia, the largest combat and fitness facility in the city, you will throw real punches at heavy bags, work combinations, drill footwork, and push through conditioning circuits that burn fat, build power, and forge mental toughness. You do not need to be a fighter. You need to be ready to work.

Why Combat Fitness at Gymnasia?

  • Train Where Fighters Train: Gymnasia is not a boutique fitness studio. It is Tbilisi's premier combat sports facility with a full boxing ring, MMA cage, heavy bags, and decades of martial arts coaching heritage. When you do Combat Fitness here, you train in an authentic fighting environment.

  • Full-Body Power Development: Every session combines striking mechanics (punches, kicks, knees), plyometric conditioning, core work, and cardiovascular endurance training. You develop the explosive power, hand speed, and stamina that fighters depend on — and the lean, athletic physique that comes with it.

  • Stress Destruction: There is nothing more cathartic than hitting a heavy bag after a long day. Combat Fitness provides an intense, focused outlet for stress that leaves you feeling empowered, not just tired. The endorphin release is unmatched.

  • Coached Technique: Unlike generic cardio kickboxing classes, our sessions teach proper striking form. You learn to throw punches and kicks with correct mechanics, which makes the workout safer, more effective, and far more satisfying.

What to Expect

Each Combat Fitness class runs approximately 55-60 minutes and follows an electrifying structure: dynamic warm-up and shadowboxing, heavy bag rounds with coached combinations, partner pad work and footwork drills, conditioning circuits (burpees, battle ropes, kettlebells, bodyweight exercises), and a core and cool-down finisher. Intensity is high but scalable — you set your pace, and the coach pushes you to find your edge. Wear athletic clothing and training shoes. Hand wraps or gloves are recommended (we can lend them to beginners).

Combat Fitness is perfect for anyone who wants an intense, engaging workout that builds real physical capabilities while delivering an adrenaline rush that treadmills simply cannot offer.

Our Facility

Gymnasia's Lisi location is purpose-built for combat sports: a full-size boxing ring, MMA cage, rows of heavy bags, speed bags, battle ropes, kettlebells, and a complete strength and conditioning area. The atmosphere is electric — you hear the snap of leather, the rhythm of jump ropes, and the energy of people pushing their limits. This is where real training happens. Post-workout sauna access is included.

Gymnasia is the best and the only place in Tbilisi to train OCR/Ninja. You can buy accessories needed for the sport. Prices are decent too.

Frequently Asked Questions

Is Combat Fitness suitable for beginners?

Yes. This is fitness training, not sparring. There is no contact with other people. Our coaches teach proper technique from scratch and all exercises scale to your current fitness level. Many members have zero martial arts experience when they start.

What should I wear?

Athletic clothing and training shoes (cross-trainers work best). If you have hand wraps or boxing gloves, bring them. If not, we can lend you a pair for your first sessions.

How often should I do Combat Fitness?

Two to three times per week is ideal for building conditioning and technique. Combat Fitness is demanding, so allow recovery days between sessions, especially when starting out.

Will I get hit or have to spar?

No. Combat Fitness is a non-contact workout. You hit bags and pads — nobody hits you. It is a safe, controlled environment focused on fitness, not fighting.

What are the health benefits of Combat Fitness?

Regular training builds cardiovascular endurance, explosive power, hand-eye coordination, core strength, upper body and shoulder conditioning, mental resilience, and stress relief. It is one of the highest calorie-burning workout formats available.

Can I combine Combat Fitness with other classes at Gymnasia?

Absolutely. Combat Fitness is an excellent gateway to Gymnasia's full martial arts program. Pair it with actual boxing or Muay Thai classes to develop real fighting skills, or combine it with CrossFit and strength training for complete athletic development.

Is Combat Fitness a good workout for weight loss?

It is one of the best. The combination of high-intensity intervals, full-body movement, and explosive power output creates a massive caloric burn during and after the session. Many members report significant body composition changes within the first month.

Do I need to bring my own gloves?

Not initially. We can lend equipment to beginners. Once you commit to regular training, we recommend investing in your own hand wraps and boxing gloves for hygiene and fit. The front desk can advise on appropriate gear.
