Why Yoga at Gymnasia?

  • Vinyasa Flow Method: Our classes link breath to movement in seamless sequences that challenge your body while calming your mind. Each session is a unique composition, so you never repeat the same routine twice.

  • Holistic Training Environment: Unlike standalone yoga studios, Gymnasia integrates yoga into a complete athletic ecosystem. Train alongside martial artists, CrossFit athletes, and fitness enthusiasts who understand the value of balanced training.

  • All Levels Welcome: Our instructors offer modifications for every pose, making classes accessible to complete beginners while providing depth for experienced practitioners. You start exactly where you are.

  • Premium Facility at Lisi: Practice in a spacious, naturally lit training space with quality mats and props, overlooking the Lisi Lake area of Tbilisi. The calm atmosphere enhances every session.

What to Expect

Each Vinyasa Yoga class runs approximately 60 minutes and follows a structured flow: centering breathwork, a dynamic warm-up, standing and balancing sequences, floor work, and a closing relaxation (Savasana). Intensity is moderate and fully adaptable. Wear comfortable, stretchy clothing that allows full range of motion. No shoes required. Mats are provided, but you are welcome to bring your own.

Yoga is ideal for anyone looking to improve flexibility, reduce stress, recover from intense training, or simply find a moment of stillness in a busy week.

Frequently Asked Questions

Is yoga suitable for beginners?

Absolutely. Our instructors guide you through every pose with clear cues and offer modifications for different levels. Many of our members started with zero yoga experience and found the practice welcoming from day one.

What should I wear?

Comfortable, stretchy clothing that allows you to move freely. Leggings, shorts, or joggers with a fitted top work well. Avoid loose clothing that falls over your face during inversions. No shoes needed.

How often should I do yoga?

Two to three times per week is ideal for building flexibility and seeing consistent progress. Even once a week provides meaningful stress relief and recovery benefits.

Do I need to be flexible to start?

Not at all. Flexibility is a result of yoga, not a prerequisite. Our classes meet you where you are and help you develop range of motion gradually and safely.

What are the health benefits of yoga?

Regular yoga practice improves flexibility, builds functional strength, reduces chronic stress, enhances sleep quality, improves posture, supports joint health, and cultivates mental clarity. Many members report reduced back pain and improved focus within weeks.

Can I combine yoga with other classes at Gymnasia?

Yes, and we strongly encourage it. Yoga pairs exceptionally well with CrossFit, combat sports, and strength training. The mobility and recovery benefits of yoga help prevent injury and accelerate progress in more intense disciplines.

Is Vinyasa Yoga physically demanding?

Vinyasa is more active than restorative styles. You will build heat, engage your core, and work muscles you did not know you had. That said, every pose can be scaled to your current fitness level.

Can yoga help with injury recovery?

Yoga is widely recognized for supporting rehabilitation. However, if you have a specific injury, inform your instructor before class so they can recommend appropriate modifications.
