What if your child could defend themselves without ever throwing a punch? Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu teaches children that intelligence beats strength, that patience beats aggression, and that respect for your training partner is the foundation of real martial arts. At Gymnasia in Tbilisi, your child will build confidence, problem-solving skills, and a deep sense of self-worth that extends far beyond the mat.

| Age Group | Schedule | Focus |

| Competition Team 7-14 | Multiple sessions/week | Advanced technique, competition preparation, no-gi & gi training |
Wednesday special: No-gi and submission grappling sessions where students train without the traditional gi — developing a different set of gripping and control skills.
Class duration: 45-60 minutes depending on age group What to bring: BJJ gi (kimono) for regular classes. Rash guard + shorts for no-gi Wednesdays. Gear available at krivi.ge. For trial classes, comfortable sportswear is fine.

Our BJJ students also train in Judo classes, mastering the standup game — throws, takedowns, and breakfalls. This combination creates exceptionally well-rounded grapplers who are confident on their feet and on the ground. Very few academies offer this integrated approach.
Our kids BJJ program is led by experienced coaches who bring competition-level expertise and a passion for developing young athletes.

BJJ is one of the safest martial arts for children. There is no striking involved. Training focuses on positions, control, and technique on soft tatami mats. Younger children practice playful grappling without submissions. All sparring is closely supervised by experienced coaches.
Our program starts from age 5. For younger children, we recommend Jungle Gym or Baby Gym to build foundational movement skills.
Not at all. Most of our students start as complete beginners. Coaches adapt every session to each child's level.

BJJ develops focus, patience, and the ability to work through frustration — exactly the skills children need in the classroom. Many parents report improved concentration and self-discipline at school after their children start training.
BJJ is specifically designed to be trained safely. There is no striking, and all sparring is supervised. Younger children do positional grappling without submissions. Minor bumps and bruises can happen as in any physical activity, but serious injuries are very rare.
